Our Bushmills 30 Year Old is patiently matured in bourbon barrels and sherry butts for 14 years before finishing in first-fill Pedro Ximénez casks for 16 years to give generations of rich and elegant dried fruit flavours. Pedro Ximénez is a dark Spanish fortified sweet sherry wine made from white grapes. It’s only made in specific regions, making each sherry butt incredibly sought-after.

Thirty years ago, like today, we specified the exact type, strength and colour of Pedro Ximénez sherry we wanted to season our hand-crafted oak casks.

CASKS:

Bushmills 30 Year Old single malt whiskey is triple distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in Oloroso sherry butts and bourbon barrels for 14 years before being finished for 16 years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez casks.

COLOUR:

Dark rich gold

NOSE:

Rich inviting sweet aromas of raisins, figs, prunes, and dates entwined with treacle toffee, soft clove and sweet spice delighted the senses

TASTE:

Exquisite, velvety and smooth mouth feel. Sweet hints of dates, raisins and figs followed by praline and orange peel before developing into vanilla and warm pastry notes. A truly delightful experience for the palate

FINISH:

Long complex finish that reminds you of the amazing number of years this whiskey has spent gaining its individual character. The dried fruit and toffee sweet notes are left lingering. The elegance and refinement of this exquisite single malt is enticing and demands a second sip
