Distillery Terms & Conditions

Things You Should Know Before You Visit:

a. The site is a classified Food Manufacturing site and therefore while touring production areas visitors will be asked to refrain from eating or drinking. All food and drink must be disposed of before the tour commences.

b. In the interest of Health & Safety the Distillery operates a NO SMOKING policy on site, both inside and outside buildings. Visitors who wish to smoke are required to go to the Public Car Park.

c. Use of mobile phones, pagers, cameras or video recorders is not permitted during the tour for reasons of safety. They must be turned off for the duration of the guided tour. This is because of the high levels of ethanol which can be present in the atmosphere in production areas.

d. As it is a working Distillery there may be times that due to maintenance some production areas may be excluded from the tour for safety reasons. Also see note on “Silent Season” information. On occasions during the day maintenance may lead to breaks in production.

e. Schools/Colleges groups cannot make reservations or visit where students are under 18 years old. This also applies where there are mixed ages under 18 years/over 18 years old. ID showing Dob is required for a College groups to confirm age.

f. Under 18 year olds may only visit when accompanied by parents as part of a family group.

g. The tour is not all indoors so particularly during wet or cold weather coats and umbrellas are advisable. Sensible footwear is also recommended (no flip-flops please).

h. For safety visitors are asked to walk on the marked walkways and footpaths at all times.

i. Monday to Friday morning some tours may pass through the Bottling Plant coinciding with the operatives tea/lunch break. This is unavoidable as it is part of the normal working pattern.

j. On Friday afternoons, Saturday and Sunday the bottling Plant is not in production. The content of the tour will remain the same with the area being viewed in a non-working capacity.

k. It is not necessary to join a guided tour to visit the Gift Shop or Distillery Kitchen restaurant.

l. Occasionally the Distillery may have to close without prior notice

m. The Distillery holds the right to refuse entry at their discretion
